Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group is seeking a motivated Litigation Assistant to support our U.S.-based personal injury and employment law practice from our Colombia office. You will work with attorneys and paralegals to draft documents, manage case files, and help prepare for trials.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Law or related field, or equivalent experience, and prior U.S. legal environment exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a U.S. legal environment is required; employment law is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer-service oriented.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with legal research databases.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Case File Management: Organize and maintain case files with accessible documentation.
• Discovery Support: Gather and summarize evidence and create discovery binders.
• Calendar Management: Track deadlines, appointments, and hearings.
• Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients and provide updates.
• Trial Preparation: Prepare materials for trial and organize exhibits.
• Research Assistance: Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings.
