EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Java Developer in Colombia to drive architectural decisions and deliver scalable services across distributed systems. You will mentor engineers, guide API and microservice design, and oversee the full lifecycle from concept to production support.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Java/Spring Boot, hands-on leadership, and experience with AWS and Kafka in a hybrid work setup.

Formación

• Five+ years of hands-on Java/Spring Boot development
• At least one year leading development teams
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Strong SQL and relational database experience
• Hands-on AWS or similar cloud platforms experience
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Excellent problem-solving and communication; English level at B2+

We're expanding our team and looking to bring aboard a Lead Java Developer to strengthen our organization. This position is well matched to a veteran engineer ready to take on full responsibility for demanding projects, shepherding them from the earliest concept stage through to final production launch. You'll contribute meaningfully to architecting and refining services that oversee complex investment data alongside distributed systems, where accuracy, dependability, and scalability are non-negotiable.
