Job summary

EPAM Systems in Colombia is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to own both backend and frontend work, leveraging Python and FastAPI within an AWS-based stack. You will drive architecture and coding standards in a collaborative, Scrum-driven team.

You will guide and mentor developers, participate in code reviews, and ensure high-quality delivery while applying AI concepts and modern frontend technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of full-stack development experience.
• At least 1 year leading development teams.
• Hands-on Python experience with FastAPI for backend services.
• Infrastructure as Code in AWS environment.
• Experience with PostgreSQL relational databases.
• Frontend skills: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind.
• Strong REST/JSON API design and patterns.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile processes.
• Strong communication in distributed teams.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and LLMs.

We're in search of a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to come aboard our Scrum team and take on a mix of back-end and front-end responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings solid expertise in Python along with an Infrastructure as Code mindset. Beyond that, familiarity with AWS, Postgres relational databases, and front-end technologies like Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind is expected. This position calls for close teamwork, participation in code reviews, and full engagement in Scrum ceremonies.
