Job summary

Eaton Group is seeking a LATAM R&D Manager to lead regional R&D and Engineering across Latin America, driving localization, cost reduction, and manufacturing innovation. This role reports to the LATAM Operations Director and will guide multi-country teams in Mexico, CAC, Chile, and Brazil with a strong emphasis on Capex and process standardization.

50% travel is required as the candidate builds organizational capability and supports Eaton's regional growth strategy through engineering excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering/R&D.
• 5+ years of people leadership managing engineering teams.
• Fluent English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional R&D and engineering to drive localization and cost reduction.
• Direct Manufacturing Engineering teams across LATAM regions.
• Drive standardization of processes across plants.
• Lead productivity and capital investment programs (Capex).
• Standardize items, materials, and product families regionally.
• Support localization strategy to grow manufacturing capacity.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality/ExOpEx, and Plant Managers.
• Ensure engineering compliance with Eaton standards and local regs.
• Develop and coach engineering talent across the region.
