Medtronic is seeking a Total Rewards Operations professional to support benefits administration, enrollments, leave, and disability programs. You will partner with HR teams and external vendors to resolve complex cases and drive data accuracy across HR systems.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, automation, and cross-functional coordination, with a flexible working model to adapt to evolving business needs and regional/global initiatives.

Formación

  • Requires two years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
  • Experience supporting employee benefits administration in a shared services or HR operations environment.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems such as Workday preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Administer U.S. and other country health and welfare benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, FSA, HSA, and related offerings.
  • Support employee enrollments, qualifying life event changes, terminations, and other benefits transactions.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment activities, including employee communications, system updates, issue resolution, and audit support.
  • Administer leave and disability programs, including short-term disability, long-term disability, and other time-off policies.
  • Serve as an escalated resource for employee and manager inquiries related to benefits, leave, disability, and time-off programs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to research and resolve complex cases.
  • Audit transactions and data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Generate reports and support compliance reviews, process documentation, and operational reporting.
  • Maintain strong data integrity across HR systems and support routine system updates and process changes.
  • Help improve service delivery by identifying opportunities to streamline work, strengthen documentation, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects within Total Rewards Operations, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and service enhancement.

A Day in the Life Under the guidance of the HR Shared Services Senior Manager, this role supports Total Rewards Operations through a combination of project management, process improvement, and day‑to‑day benefits operations. The position serves as a key partner to the Total Rewards Operations team and may also collaborate with other HR teams and stakeholders as needed. This is a flexible role designed to support evolving business needs, contribute to regional and global initiatives, and help improve the employee experience through both strategic and operational work.

Medtronic’s HR Shared Services team helps deliver HR support and services at scale by executing standardized HR processes, partnering with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, and focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and automation. Responsibilities
  • Benefits Operations and HR Support
    • Administer U.S. and other country health and welfare benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, FSA, HSA, and related offerings.

  • Project Management and Continuous Improvement
    • Lead and support continuous improvement projects within Total Rewards Operations, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and service enhancement.
    • Partner with colleagues across HR Shared Services, Total Rewards, and other functions to identify process gaps and drive practical solutions.
    • Oversee the day‑to‑day coordination of projects, serving as a liaison among project leads, team members, and key stakeholders.
    • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies from initiation through implementation.
    • Prepare status updates, track milestones, and support issue resolution to keep projects on course.
    • Leverage cross‑functional teams to evaluate, develop, and improve key business processes.
    • Assess project challenges and recommend solutions that improve productivity, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
    • Support testing, issue tracking, documentation updates, and system enhancements related to HR processes and workflows.
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by coaching others, sharing ideas, and promoting structured problem solving.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires two years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
  • Experience supporting employee benefits administration in a shared services or HR operations environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong project coordination and process improvement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across teams
  • Experience supporting HR operations, benefits administration, or shared services preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems such as Workday preferred
  • Strong Excel skills, including reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis preferred
  • Exposure to testing, process documentation, or system configuration activities
  • Hands‑on experience administering U.S. benefits and leave programs, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and ACA‑related processes is advantageous
