A Network Infrastructure Engineer at Akamai will help maintain and improve global platform reliability, performance, and availability. You will manage remote hardware, monitor equipment, and respond to alerts while collaborating with datacenter staff and partners.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, knowledge of networking, and Advanced English. Eligible for FlexBase and occasional data center visits in Bogota, with a 5x2 work schedule.

Competenze

• 1–2 years of experience in network infrastructure
• Knowledge of networking basics and technologies
• Strong customer-facing relationship skills
• Experience with data center portals and NOC environment
• Residence in Bogota or nearby with ability to visit data centers occasionally
• Advanced English and availability for a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule (weekends included)

Mansioni

• Managing remote hardware assets and troubleshooting issues remotely
• Watching alarms from servers, routers, switches, and operating systems
• Responding to alerts according to SLA and determining severity
• Supporting the resolution of high-severity technical incidents
• Designing, developing, and maintaining alerts and runbooks to improve fault detection and operational visibility
• Installing, configuring, and optimizing network infrastructure while developing operational tools and documentation
