FedEx Colombia is seeking a customs specialist to manage advanced processing, coordination, and approval of import/export and transshipments of documents, packages, and merchandise by air freight. You will ensure compliance with local and international regulations and support timely shipments.

You will prepare customs forms, manifests, and declarations, interface with customs officials, inform clients about duties and taxes, and keep records organized for audits and reporting.

Formación

• High School Degree/Equivalent or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in international freight/cargo customs policies, or 18 months as a Customs Agent.
• Knowledge of airport and customs clearance procedures preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Process and obtain customs clearance approvals for import/export and transshipments of documents, packages and merchandise by air freight.
• Prepare required customs forms such as master airway bills, cargo manifests, general declarations and invoices.
• Prepare documents detailing duties, tariffs, and VAT to enable timely cost recovery and clearance.
• Coordinate with customs officials and inform customers about duties and taxes; maintain organized records for audits.
