Pond & Company is hiring a Substation Physical Engineer in Bogotá, Colombia to support US-based electric utility projects. You will focus on physical design, equipment layouts, grounding, conduit, and lightning protection, coordinating with civil and structural teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in substation engineering, strong design and modeling skills in 3D, and proficiency with MicroStation/AutoCAD, plus English at B2 or higher to support US teams.

Formación

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background with strong experience in substation physical design.
• Experience delivering layouts, grounding, conduit, and lightning protection plans for substations.
• Familiarity with NESC/IEEE standards and utility industry codes.
• Proficiency in 3D substation design and modeling tools.

Responsabilidades

• Develop substation physical design drawings: general arrangements, elevations, conduit and grounding plans.
• Coordinate equipment layouts and site infrastructure to meet design requirements.
• Perform grounding, conduit fill, voltage drop calculations and related analyses.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and protection & control engineers for integrated designs.
• Prepare technical equipment and construction specifications and scopes.
