Job summary

The Ward Law Group, PL is seeking a detail-oriented Closing Auditor to join its accounting team. You will review client-level accounting and closing packages, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing within Litify.

You will audit daily closing packages, upload documents, attach signed closings, and verify deposits in QuickBooks, collaborating with attorneys and staff to resolve discrepancies. Occasional in-person trainings, including weekends, may be required with 30 days’ notice.

Responsibilities

• Audit closing packages daily, both before and after the cutoff, and update their status in Litify for next-day processing
• Rename and upload scanned closing packages, trust checks (re-issued, refund, and discharge), and client advance checks to Litify and OneDrive
• Attach signed closings and executed releases to the correct client files
• Respond to emails in the shared Billings inbox
• Verify and record deposits in QuickBooks, investigating and resolving any variances
• Review trust account balances and work with teammates, providers, and attorneys to resolve discrepancies and close out older cases
• Support attorney lien negotiations by reviewing billing statements and documenting outcomes
• Generate payroll and benefits reports and handle inbound shipments
