Emapta Latam seeks a Data & Integrations Engineer to build the data backbone for AI-native enterprise technology in a hybrid Colombia setting. You will transform ERP, financial, and operational data into trusted foundations, leveraging PostgreSQL, ETL, Python, and interfaces to major ERP systems.

Formación

• 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data migration, ETL, or a related technical field.
• Advanced PostgreSQL and relational database expertise with complex SQL queries and CTEs.
• Strong production ETL and scripting experience using Python or TypeScript/Node.js; Pandas/Polars proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Ingest, profile, and migrate legacy data from ERP/CRM/financial sources.
• Develop and maintain data transformation scripts; map data into PostgreSQL schemas.
• Ensure data reconciliation, validation, and load integrity across multi-system migrations.

The Qualifications We Seek

• More than 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data migration, ETL, or a related technical field
• Advanced PostgreSQL and relational database expertise, with extensive experience writing complex SQL queries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), constraints, window functions, and indexing strategies across relational schemas with high migration volumes
• Strong production ETL and scripting expertise, with proven ability to develop practical, production-grade data manipulation scripts using TypeScript/Node.js or Python frameworks such as Pandas or Polars
• Strong reconciliation and validation expertise, with meticulous mathematical rigor in establishing control totals, checking boundary conditions, and verifying trial balance integrity before declaring a data load complete
• Hands-on data migration experience in extracting, cleaning, and loading complex production data from legacy ERP, financial, or CRM systems such as NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or SAP, including live cutover management
• Strong written and technical communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain data anomalies, mapping exceptions, and reconciliation summaries to technical leads and customer finance teams
• Familiarity with accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, trial balances, and debit/credit balancing, strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Supabase and Row-Level Security (RLS) enforcement, strongly preferred
• Familiarity with regulated data requirements, including audit trails and lot traceability, strongly preferred

Your Daily Tasks

• Ingest, inspect, and profile complex legacy customer data from CSV, JSON, and direct database extracts
• Process complex datasets, including bills of materials, item master records, multi-currency open AR/AP, historical lot genealogy, vendor catalogs, and customer ledgers

ETL & Transformation Scripting

• Develop clean, maintainable data transformation and loading scripts using Python or TypeScript/Node.js
• Map and load legacy datasets accurately into PostgreSQL schemas
• Establish strict reconciliation protocols across migrated financial, inventory, and operational data
• Perform row-count verification, checksum validation, hash comparisons, general ledger trial balance tie-outs, and lot quantity reconciliation

Recurring Ingestion Feeds & Connectors

• Build, deploy, and monitor recurring data feeds, including retailer point-of-sale files, EDI and supplier feeds, and document-parsing inputs
• Implement active anomaly detection and data-freshness alerts across recurring ingestion processes
• Convert bespoke, one-off migration scripts into reusable, modular importer tools
• Reduce customer onboarding time from weeks to days through scalable migration architecture
