Emapta Latam is seeking a Lead Complex Construction Project Manager to drive delivery of high‑value commercial projects. You will coordinate schedules, assess risks, and ensure cross‑team collaboration from planning through closeout, with a focus on accuracy and lasting impact.

This onsite role at Connecta 26, Colombia, offers a 5‑day work week, weekends off, and access to Emapta Academy, advanced tools, and direct exposure to clients.

Formación

  • 5+ years in construction project management with direct commercial construction experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, analyze schedules, field progress, risks, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.
  • Able to interpret construction drawings, schedules, scopes of work, and project documentation.
  • Experience driving project issues through resolution, preparing client and leadership reports, meeting summaries, and action logs.
  • Experience managing construction projects beyond administrative coordination, with accountability for project outcomes and analytical decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent English communication with the ability to ask effective follow‑up questions, provide concise project updates, and drive accountability.

Responsabilidades

  • Review project status, schedules, documentation, and field progress to identify risks, delays, gaps, and required actions.
  • Maintain project schedules and look‑ahead plans in Smartsheet or similar tools.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and missing requirements while ensuring materials, approvals, subcontractors, and manpower are ready.
  • Track action items, decisions, and deadlines through completion.
  • Coordinate with project teams, verify updates, document follow‑ups, and escalated unresolved issues.
  • Review project photos, videos, and daily reports to validate completed work.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and supports reporting, billing, and project records.
  • Prepare weekly client and leadership reports covering progress, schedules, risks, key decisions, and upcoming work.
  • Lead or participate in project meetings, distribute action items, and maintain consistent communication across stakeholders.
  • Risk, Procurement & Change Management: Monitor project risks, RFIs, submittals, procurement, long‑lead materials, inspections, and change orders.
  • Track schedule impacts and resolve issues before they affect project delivery.
  • AI & Process Improvement: Use approved AI and automation tools to streamline reporting, schedule reviews, documentation, and follow‑ups.
  • Develop templates, dashboards, workflows, and SOPs while ensuring AI accuracy and data confidentiality.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years in construction project management with direct commercial construction experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, analyze schedules, field progress, risks, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.
  • Able to interpret construction drawings, schedules, scopes of work, and project documentation.

Project Ownership

  • Strong experience driving project issues through resolution, preparing client and leadership reports, meeting summaries, and action logs.
  • Experience managing construction projects beyond administrative coordination, with accountability for project outcomes and analytical decision-making.

Skills

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and decision‑making skills.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, AI tools, and virtual collaboration platforms (Zoom, Slack, Dropbox).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu, SiteCam, or similar construction management/documentation tools; Procore is an advantage.
Responsibilities

Project Analysis & Oversight

  • Review project status, schedules, documentation, and field progress to identify risks, delays, gaps, and required actions.
  • Verify progress against plans, clarify project updates, and escalation critical issues with recommendations.

Schedule & Planning

  • Maintain project schedules and look‑ahead plans in Smartsheet or similar tools.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and missing requirements while ensuring materials, approvals, subcontractors, and manpower are ready.

Follow‑Up & Accountability

  • Track action items, decisions, and deadlines through completion.
