Job summary

Appgate in Bogotá seeks a curious L1 Analyst to join the GFC operations team. You will handle the first line of defense, investigate cybersecurity events, and communicate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities include proactive threat analysis, incident escalation, thorough documentation, and continuous improvement of monitoring tools, while collaborating with local staff and mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Student or graduate in systems/telecoms engineering or similar.
• At least 1 year in SOC, Help Desk, or similar operations roles.
• Intermediate English (B1+ or B2), spoken and written.
• Strong curiosity and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• First Responder for security events via tickets, email, and phone.
• Proactive threat analysis and monitoring using procedures and investigations.
• Incident response with escalation to Level 2 when needed.
• Suggest improvements and test new monitoring tools.
• Meticulously document actions in incident management and policies.
• Collaborate with local/team and coach junior analysts.
