Utopia Design seeks a skilled Construction Project Manager on-site in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, to collaborate with our project team in real estate development and construction for boutique hospitality assets.

You will focus on construction execution, contractor management, and schedule delivery, with engagement in cost control, risk management, and lifecycle planning.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 6+ years proven experience in construction project coordination and management.
• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Excel, Google Sheets, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (Power BI, Looker Studio).
• Fluent English required for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet requirements.
• Support procurement by obtaining quotes and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Track progress and flag delays; propose corrective actions.
• Monitor budgets and ensure cost control and reporting accuracy.
• Assist in reviewing contracts, work orders, and change orders.
• Prepare project documentation including reports, schedules, and minutes.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager on‑site in Cabarete, Dominican Republic to collaborate with our project team within the real estate development and construction business, focusing on boutique hospitality assets.

This opportunity will focus primarily on construction execution, contractor management, and schedule delivery, with engagement in cost control, risk management, and project planning throughout the lifecycle.

To succeed in this opportunity, you should have excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills, be punctual, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities to ensure timely project completion.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Support procurement efforts by obtaining quotes and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Track project progress, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor construction budgets, ensuring cost control and financial reporting accuracy.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, work orders, and change orders.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting minutes.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, resolve construction-related issues as they arise, and share regular project performance updates with the Senior Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction project coordination, project management (+6 years).
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel, Google Sheets, AutoCAD) as well as data analysis (Power BI, Looker Studio).
• Experience in data analysis, including cost tracking, schedule performance metrics, and trend reporting.
• English fluency is required for this opportunity.
