Medtronic in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Compliance Specialist - AI Governance & Privacy Operations to help safeguard AI initiatives across the global business. You will assess AI solutions, identify risks, and partner with legal, privacy, and technology teams to ensure responsible use of AI.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree required; Law degree preferred.
  • Experience in compliance, privacy, risk governance, or related fields.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, compliance reviews, or privacy assessments.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, risk assessment and responsible AI concepts.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA, or PIPL) and AI governance frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance platforms (OneTrust, ServiceNow, Archer, LogicGate).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; English B2+.

Responsabilidades

  • Prepare reports and metrics on AI assessment activities and governance effectiveness.

A Day in the Life

The Compliance Specialist - AI Governance & Privacy Operations will support Medtronic's AI governance program by assessing AI solutions, identifying risks, and partnering with global stakeholders to promote the compliant and responsible use of AI across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing strategic function while collaborating with business, legal, privacy, compliance, and technology teams worldwide.

This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and follows a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Conduct AI Assessments for Business Use, evaluating AI solutions for governance, privacy, compliance, security, transparency, accountability, and responsible AI considerations
  • Review AI use cases, models, tools, and third-party AI solutions to identify risks and applicable governance requirements
  • Partner with Privacy, Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Data Governance, and business stakeholders to evaluate and mitigate AI-related risks
  • Assess third-party vendors and external partners as part of AI and privacy risk assessment activities
  • Document assessment outcomes, risk analyses, recommendations, and governance requirements
  • Support remediation efforts and track risk mitigation actions through closure
  • Assist with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Third-Party Risk Assessments (TPRAs), and related privacy governance activities
  • Support continuous improvement of AI governance frameworks, assessment methodologies, and operational processes
  • Monitor emerging AI technologies, regulations, standards, and industry best practices
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations related to AI assessment activities and governance program effectiveness
Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Law Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in compliance, privacy, risk management, governance, legal, data protection, technology risk, AI governance, or related fields
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, compliance reviews, governance evaluations, privacy assessments, or similar activities
  • Familiarity with AI governance, AI risk assessment, responsible AI principles, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA, or PIPL) and AI governance frameworks is preferred
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance platforms such as OneTrust, ServiceNow, Archer, LogicGate, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business and compliance risks
  • Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills English proficiency at B2 level or above
