Job summary

AgileEngine seeks a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will lead AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Argo Workflows, Snowflake, S3 and data pipelines, driving IaC, CI/CD, observability, and incident response. Strong leadership, 6+ years, and English proficiency are required. LatAm daytime availability and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Deep hands-on AWS production environments experience including security, networking, access management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workload deployment, troubleshooting, observability, scaling and upgrades.
• Hands-on experience operating Argo Workflows or a comparable orchestration platform for production data workloads.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform and CI/CD, release automation, and rollback practices.
• Strong experience designing and operating observability, logging, monitoring, alerting and incident routing for distributed platforms.
• Ability to lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting across infrastructure, applications, data pipelines and analytics layers.
• Experience operating production platforms with SLAs, runbooks, change controls and on-call responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, S3 data lakes, SQL, dbt, Fivetran or HVR and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash for automation and tooling.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead teams through change.
• Proven mentoring, code-review and cross-team collaboration skills with excellent English communication.
• Availability to work LatAm service window (9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET) and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo, Snowflake, S3, Fivetran and Tableau dependencies.
• Lead the move to managed services including platform discovery, risk mapping, knowledge transfer and readiness validation.
• Define cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD practices and observability patterns.
• Provide leadership for AWS, Kubernetes/EKS operations, Argo workflows, deployment automation and access management.
• Translate requirements into actionable technical plans and backlogs.
• Guide cross-platform decisions involving Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, S3 data lake operations and analytics dependencies.
• Lead cross-platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation across infrastructure, ingestion, orchestration and analytics.
• Direct technical response during major incidents, including RCA and preventive actions.
• Ensure changes/releases include review, validation, rollback planning and traceability.
• Define and monitor reliability indicators (availability, data freshness, incident patterns, MTTR).
• Improve automation, observability, auto-remediation, resilience and cloud cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance and IT for least-privilege access and auditability.
• Review designs, document tradeoffs and ensure secure, scalable solutions in managed-service model.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices across a distributed team.
• Maintain alignment across LatAm and India coverage windows and handoffs.
• Participate in senior escalation and on-call model for critical incidents.
