Job summary

MRINetwork is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to ensure timely and accurate processing of daily customer payments, primarily lockbox checks and ACH, in NetSuite. The role requires experience with U.S. cash application processes and familiarity with major banks.

You will post payments, research unapplied cash, and assist with month-end close while identifying process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency. Strong Excel skills and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on cash application/cash posting experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Direct experience processing lockbox deposits and ACH payments at a sizable U.S. bank.
• Solid Excel skills and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Review daily bank lockbox images and remittance data; match payments to open invoices in NetSuite.
• Process and post ACH payment batches daily, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts.
• Process occasional incoming wire transfers and post to the correct customer accounts.
• Research unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, and misapplied payments with AR/Sales as needed.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts against bank statements to post same-day/next-business-day deposits.
• Investigate discrepancies between bank deposits and system postings; communicate with customers as needed.
• Maintain organized remittance backups and audit documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to cash application.
