WSP is seeking a WindServer Administrator to join its technology team in Bogotá. The role focuses on administering, maintaining, and continuously improving the WindServer environment, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across on‑premises and cloud-integrated infrastructure.

You will work with analysts, stakeholders, and engineering peers to resolve issues, optimize configurations, and implement platform enhancements that drive business outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems/Software Engineering, or related field.

Position Purpose

The WindServer Administrator is responsible for providing technical support, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the WindServer environment. This role ensures optimal system performance, resolves technical issues, supports infrastructure operations, and contributes to the evolution of the WindServer platform through system enhancements and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Application & System Support

• Provide day-to-day support to WindServer users, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve application and infrastructure issues.
• Perform system analysis and debugging activities to identify root causes of technical problems.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Support system stability, reliability, and overall performance.

Administration & Configuration

• Implement and manage code changes and server configuration updates.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of on-premises server infrastructure.
• Monitor system operations and support ongoing maintenance activities.
• Manage server configurations in accordance with established standards and best practices.
• Support infrastructure improvements and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with senior administrators to develop expertise in the WindServer environment and architecture.
• Partner with the WindServer Product Manager to support product growth and enhancement initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing platform efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Recommend and implement technical solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
• Document system changes, configurations, and support procedures.

Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 6 to 9 years of experience in systems administration, application support, infrastructure administration, or related technology roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications and server environments.
• Experience working with on-premises infrastructure and cloud-integrated solutions.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and deploying solutions.

Technical Skills

• Mandatory experience with:
• C# mandatory or proficiency and similar higt level develoment lenguage with the capabiliry to quickly transfer those skills and leanr C#

• Microsoft PowerShell
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2022.
• Experience with firewall administration and computer networking.
• Experience managing Synology DiskStation Manager environments.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Storage Gateway.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience using source code and version control systems.
• Understanding of server administration, infrastructure management, and system security best practices.
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and software tools quickly.
