Job summary

Cresta is hiring a BIM Modeler / Specialist focused on Fire Protection & Sprinkler Systems to work remotely from Colombia for US-based NY schedule projects.

You will develop detailed 3D models and shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoSprink, ensuring NFPA-compliant designs and coordination with multiple disciplines. English proficiency and 3+ years of fire protection experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire protection design, fire sprinkler modeling, or fire suppression systems.
• Advanced English (B2+ / C1) for technical communication.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP mandatory; AutoSprink/Navisworks highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and construction-ready shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoSprink.
• Design, model, and coordinate fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems for US projects.
• Apply NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 14, 20) to develop compliant designs.
• Perform clash detection and coordination with MEP and structural teams using Navisworks.
• Review plans to identify design conflicts and propose practical solutions.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure modeling accuracy and maintain project documentation.

We are hiring a BIM Modeler / Specialist focused on Fire Protection & Sprinkler Systems (Sistemas Agua Contraincendios - ACI) to join the design team of one of our U.S.-based construction clients in New York.

In this role, you will work directly with the client’s engineering team to develop detailed fire sprinkler shop drawings, build 3D models using Revit MEP and AutoSprink, and ensure full compliance with NFPA standards. This is an ideal position for Mechanical, Civil, Sanitary, or Fire Protection Engineers in Colombia with hands-on experience in fire protection design (Redes Agua Contraincendios - ACI) and BIM coordination.

What You’ll Do

• Develop detailed 3D models and construction-ready shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoSprink.
• Design, model, and coordinate fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems for commercial and residential U.S. projects.
• Apply NFPA standards (particularly NFPA 13, 14 & 20) to develop fully compliant, constructible designs.
• Perform clash detection and spatial coordination with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural disciplines using Navisworks.
• Proactively review plans to identify design conflicts and develop practical engineering solutions before construction.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to eliminate modeling errors and maintain organized project documentation/revisions.

What You’ll Bring

• English Level: Advanced Technical & Conversational English (B2+ / C1 mandatory).
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in fire protection design, fire sprinkler modeling, or fire suppression systems.
• Core Software: Expert proficiency in Revit MEP (mandatory); strong experience with AutoSprink or Navisworks is highly preferred.
• US Standards: Deep knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 14, 20) and U.S. fire protection practices.
