Descripción del empleo

Floridablanca, Colombia | Posted on 07/29/2026

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Production Coordinator to lead a team of approximately six BIM Modelers supporting electrical prefabrication and field installation projects in the United States.

This is a hands‑on position that combines BIM production, technical coordination, task planning, quality control, and team guidance. The coordinator will remain actively involved in developing and reviewing detailed electrical models (LOD400 or higher) and drawings while organizing the team’s daily activities, assigning work, monitoring progress, resolving technical questions, and ensuring that deliverables comply with project requirements and client standards.

The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer with strong experience in Autodesk Revit and knowledge of electrical systems, construction documentation, and high-detail BIM workflows. However, candidates from other engineering, architectural, technical, or BIM‑related backgrounds may also be considered if they demonstrate advanced electrical BIM knowledge, leadership capabilities, and relevant production experience.

Requirements
  • Minimum two years of experience developing electrical BIM models in Revit.
  • Experience producing and reviewing electrical construction, coordination, shop, assembly, prefabrication, or installation drawings.
  • Experience working with detailed and constructible electrical models. Previous LOD 400 experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems.
  • Previous experience assigning tasks, reviewing the work of other modelers, mentoring team members, or coordinating BIM production.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical plans, specifications, diagrams, markups, and construction documents.
  • Experience identifying modeling conflicts, missing information, and constructability concerns.
Must Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, particularly in electrical modeling, coordination, and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components, including conduits, conduit racks, cable trays, electrical equipment, supports, hangers, branch circuits, and feeders.
  • Ability to develop and review constructible electrical models suitable for coordination, prefabrication, assembly, and field installation. (LOD400)
  • Ability to produce and review plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, assembly drawings, and installation drawings generated from Revit models.
  • Ability to plan BIM production activities, divide scopes into manageable tasks, assign work, estimate effort, and monitor progress.
  • Experience performing QA/QC reviews of BIM models and drawing packages.
  • Ability to verify model accuracy, completeness, coordination, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
  • Ability to provide clear technical guidance and constructive feedback to BIM Modelers.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities while meeting project deadlines.
  • Ability to follow and enforce BIM execution plans, client standards, templates, naming conventions, and quality‑control procedures.
  • Minimum B2 English proficiency. Sufficient to understand technical documentation, drawings, markups, written instructions, project emails, and participate in coordination meetings with the US‑based client.
  • Experience leading a BIM production team or supervising multiple modelers.
  • Experience with electrical prefabrication and model‑based fabrication workflows.
  • Experience producing or reviewing shop, spool, assembly, prefabrication, and field installation drawings.
  • Advanced knowledge of conduit routing, conduit racks, cable tray systems, electrical equipment layouts, supports, trapezes, and hangers.
  • Experience with Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Experience working with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360.
  • Experience with Revit families, shared parameters, schedules, worksets, filters, view templates, and model organization.
  • Familiarity with U.S. electrical construction practices and the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience participating in technical meetings or communicating with U.S.-based clients in English.
  • Experience developing BIM standards, checklists, templates, workflows, or production procedures.
  • Experience estimating modeling hours and monitoring team productivity.
Responsabilities

The Electrical BIM Production Coordinator will lead the daily activities of a team of approximately six BIM Modelers while remaining actively involved in production. The coordinator will review the project scope and priorities, break the work into manageable assignments, estimate the required effort, distribute tasks according to team members’ capabilities, monitor progress, and adjust the production plan as project conditions change. The role also includes supporting modelers with technical questions, providing training and guidance, communicating project updates, and escalating missing information or risks that may affect quality or schedule.

The coordinator will develop and maintain detailed electrical models and drawings while ensuring that the team’s work meets the level of accuracy and constructability required for LOD 400 prefabrication and field installation. This includes coordinating conduits, conduit racks, cable trays, electrical equipment, supports, hangers, branch circuits, feeders, and other required electrical systems. The coordinator will also participate in multidisciplinary coordination, review clash‑detection results, resolve or assign coordination issues, and verify that routing, dimensions, elevations, clearances, accessibility, support conditions, and installation requirements are properly represented.

A central responsibility of the position is performing QA/QC reviews of Revit models and drawing packages before submission. The coordinator will verify completeness, model integrity, compliance with client standards, consistency between the model and drawings, constructability, and the accuracy of plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, assembly drawings, and material information. Because these deliverables may be used directly for fabrication, assembly, and field installation, the coordinator must maintain rigorous quality standards, document review comments, confirm that corrections are completed, and help the team meet production deadlines without compromising accuracy.

  • Global Exposure : Collaborate with US clients in an international environment.
  • Team Culture : Thrive in a collaborative and supportive workplace.
  • Competitive Compensation : That reflects your skills and contributions.
