Job summary

ENG (engbim.com) is looking for BIM Specialists focused on MEP modeling (mechanical, HVAC and plumbing) for several Business Units. The role centers on building information modeling with high LOD, quality, autonomy, and the ability to coordinate and resolve conflicts early in the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring Revit for HVAC and plumbing at LOD 350, Navisworks for coordination, and 2–3 years in BIM/VDC. English fluency is mandatory, and experience with US-based projects is a plus.

Hi candidates! In this position, we'll consider profiles exclusively for the mechanical, HVAC & plumbing trades, for BIM Specialist positions for several of our Business Units.This role generally involves covering the modeling of different trades (MEP), depending on your background and expertise, whose extent will depend on the scope of the project (specific zones or entire buildings), and whose quality will go according to clients’ requirements and the services provided by the team you end up joining. This position requires a high level of modeling quality (expertise, technical knowledge and LOD), and more autonomy in its self-management and modeling capabilities (studying whatever's necessary according to each trade). A BIM Specialist saves the client problems, detecting possible conflicts throughout the initial information review and the modeling and coordination phases.

Minimum mandatory requirements include:

• An excellent level of English is an absolute must, both spoken and written. Aspiring candidates must be able to keep up with fluent conversations both with native and non-native speakers. Candidates without this requirement will NOT be considered.
• Understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, including HVAC ductwork, hydronic and refrigerant piping, domestic water, sanitary, vent, and equipment layouts.
• Hands-on experience with Revit for HVAC system and/or Plumbing modeling at LOD 350.
• Experience using Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing design, construction, or BIM/VDC environments.

Specific requirements will vary depending on the position and service. Experience with Level Of Detail (LOD) 400 and projects based in the US, or constructability knowledge related to that country, will be a huge differential. Other desirable requirements are:

• Revit experience with LOD 400 mechanical and/or plumbing modeling (fabrication-level detail).
• Experience supporting U.S.-based projects and coordinating with trade contractors.
• Familiarity with U.S. codes and standards (e.g., IMC, IPC, ASHRAE).
• Experience with constructability-focused modeling, spooling concepts, and shop-drawing support.
