8am is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to own the end-to-end billing process on our Revenue team. You will manage invoicing accuracy, recurring billing in Stripe, refunds, disputes, and payment gateway operations.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will help automate processes with AI tools, reconcile transactions, and keep customer data clean while delivering a great customer experience.

Formación

• 2+ years as Billing Specialist, AR Analyst, or similar role.
• Hands-on Stripe experience (dashboard, subscriptions, API tools).
• Familiarity with financial regulations and GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Clear communicator with strong customer service instincts.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to automate or optimize your workflows.
• Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end billing process and audit invoicing and credit memo runs for accuracy.
• Manage Stripe subscriptions, recurring payments, plans, discounts, and tax configurations.
• Reconcile transactions and payment records, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Handle Stripe issues like chargebacks, refunds, and failed payments; partner with Engineering or Product on integrations.
• Own AR tasks like aging reports and credit memos.
• Update customer accounts for plan changes and maintain clean data.
• Respond to billing questions and partner with Customer Success on a great customer experience.
• Build billing and payment reports; spot process improvements; use AI to automate review, reconciliation, and reporting.
