GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a senior tendering professional for HV substations in Bogotá. You will lead proposal development, cost calculations, and risk management, coordinating between Product Lines, external suppliers and subcontractors to win business.

Strong technical and commercial background in T&D/EBoP is required, with fluency in English and Spanish. You will operate with defined policies and may lead small projects as an individual contributor.

Formación

• Bachelor Engineering degree (Electrical highly preferred).
• At least 5 years of tendering experience for T&D / EBOP / Electrical Substation projects.
• Strong technical and commercial background in T&D / EBoP Power Generation and industrial market.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all aspects of proposal management including development, risk management, costing and pricing through EAS coordination.
• Provide leadership during deal reviews to ensure risks, pricing and scope are properly incorporated.
• Collaborate with Region Sales and Account Managers to meet customer requirements and business goals.
• Define target costs and negotiate with internal PLs and external suppliers.
• Drive risk review of technical offers and mitigation with other areas on deal strategy.
• Support strategic opportunities and align with Product Lines and partner for civil works and erection scope.
• Lead technical discussions with customers in tender negotiations.
• Most roles will be individual contributor with potential small project leadership.

Job Description Summary

Customer facing staff responsible for winning business (HV substations). At this level operate with some autonomy but are covered by well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results. The job demands strong contractual terms and conditions knowledge, capacity to lead interdisciplinary team and technical expertise.

Job Description

EssentialResponsibilities:

• o Responsible for all aspects of the proposal management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, costing and calculation of selling price through the creation of the EAS (estimate analysis sheet), coordination between all Product Lines involved and external suppliers and subcontractors.
• o Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk, pricing strategies and complete solution are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording.
• o Collaboration with the Region Sales and Account Managers team to develop commercial strategies and solutions that meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals.
• o Define target costs and negotiate with internal PLs and External suppliers.
• o Drive the review of the risk elements presented in the technical offers and provide mitigation with the support of other areas on dealstrategy, schedule risks, equipment availability, Advance Order / Release, costing, performance and other identified risks.
• o Support discussions on strategic opportunities and ensure strategic business alignment.
• o Alignstrategic support to Product Line and negotiation with partners for civil works and erection scope.
• o Assemble and recognize Market needs in terms of technical solution.
• o Lead the technical discussion with customers in tender negotiation stage.
• o These sales jobs will mainly be individual contributors.
  A job at this level requires strong interpersonal skills. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

• o Bachelor Engineering degree (Electrical highly preferred) from an accredited university or college.
• o At least 5 years of experience in tendering for T&D / EBOP / Electrical Substation Turnkey projects.
• o Strong technicaland commercialbackground in T&D / EBoP Power Generation and industrial market is preferred.
• o Ability to work in a matrix and cross functionalenvironment.
• o Able to communicate effectively at all business levels and with support areas.
• o Deeply knowledge of T&D products, processes, and organizationalstructure is preferred.
• o Strong externalfocus, with ability to assess impact of price and performance decisions on customers, market, and investors.
• o Strong oraland written communication skills.
• o Strong reluctance to work under pressure and time constraint.
• o English and Spanish are mandatories.
