A leading consultancy in renewable energy is seeking a Renewable Energy Talent Expert in Bogotá, Colombia. This role involves managing procurement activities across large infrastructure projects with a focus on supplier management and strategy development. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and familiarity with international project settings, especially in South America.

Formación

  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement/supply chain for large infrastructure projects.
  • At least 2 years working with overseas projects, ideally in South America.
  • Proven track record of managing complex procurement packages end-to-end.

Responsabilidades

  • Take ownership of procurement activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Lead full-cycle procurement: request, tender, negotiation, contract, and delivery.
  • Build and maintain a localized supplier pool across construction and services.
  • Monitor suppliers and service providers to achieve timelines and cost targets.
  • Maintain localized supplier pool and onboard compliant vendors.
  • Collaborate with project management, legal, cost, and quality functions.

Key Responsibilities
Planning & Strategy
  • Take ownership of procurement activities across the project lifecycle - from early-stage support through delivery.
  • Define and update strategies for sourcing, supplier integration, and risk management.
  • Proactively identify risks (commercial, technical, legal, logistics) and manage mitigation plans.
Execution & Delivery
  • Lead full‑cycle procurement: request, tender, negotiation, contract, and delivery.
  • Monitor suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to secure timelines and costs.
  • Ensure >95% delivery reliability for critical packages.
Supplier & Market Development
  • Build and maintain a localized supplier pool across construction, equipment, and services.
  • Source, qualify, and onboard new suppliers that meet technical and compliance standards.
  • Lead performance evaluations and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
Collaboration & Governance
  • Serve as the point of contact for procurement with project management, technical, legal, cost, and quality functions.
  • Guide teams operating under delegated procurement authority to ensure alignment with process and compliance standards.
  • Capture lessons learned and feed back into group‑wide process optimisation.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
  • Degree in engineering, supply chain, or international business.
  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement/supply chain for large infrastructure projects.
  • At least 2 years working with overseas projects, ideally in South America (e.g., Chile, Colombia, Brazil).
  • Proven track record of managing complex procurement packages end‑to‑end.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong command of procurement principles and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with contracts, claims, and risk allocation in international project settings.
  • Understanding of construction cost structures and ability to analyse procurement data.
  • Awareness of regional regulations, taxation, and cultural business practices.
Languages
  • English at professional working level.
  • Spanish or Portuguese highly valued.
