Job Summary
We are seeking an AX-21 Systems & Cloud Engineer to join our team at Oceans Code Experts. This role involves working with cutting‑edge technologies in cloud computing and systems administration. The ideal candidate will have 1-2+ years of experience in server administration or IT support, advanced knowledge of Windows Server administration, and proficiency in virtualization concepts.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage server infrastructure and ensure uptime and reliability.
- Implement and maintain cloud‑based solutions using Azure or AWS.
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support ITIL‑based processes.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows.
- Document processes and maintain ticketing hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- 1-2+ years of experience in server administration, infrastructure operations, or advanced IT support.
- Degree or technical diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration; Linux exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with virtualization concepts such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
- Understanding of backup/restore concepts and monitoring/alerting workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to incident resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Availability for scheduled maintenance windows and participation in on‑call rotations.
Nice to Have
- Entry‑level Microsoft, VMware, or cloud certification (e.g., AZ‑900, AWS Cloud Practitioner).
- Exposure to Azure or AWS administration.
- Basic scripting exposure in PowerShell or Bash.
- Experience working within ITIL‑based processes (incident, request, change).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- Full‑time consulting position.
- Up to 40 hours per week with flexible core hours.
- Fully remote.
