Blacksmith Agency is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models, not model training.

You will work with LangChain/ LangGraph, integrate with OpenAI/ Anthropic APIs, and build internal tools to reduce manual hours across our design and development processes. This role is remote for Latin America and South Africa, offering a full-time position with engineering collaboration across a US-based team.

Formación

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across the design and development process.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• Handle MCP server integrations as part of the AI stack.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Applied AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

What You Bring
