Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role, focused on production systems atop AI capabilities in collaboration with engineering and delivery leadership.

You will implement agentic workflows with LangChain/LangGraph, integrate OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and build pipelines linking WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and our CMS. Remote work is available for Latin America and South Africa.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.

• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As AI Automation Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them. You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
