Job summary

Kraken is seeking a senior product designer to lead end-to-end product design for AI-powered experiences. You will own the design outcomes, collaborating with product, engineering, and leadership to ship high-quality, user-centric interfaces.

You'll navigate ambiguity, design for non-deterministic interactions, prototype rapidly, conduct user research, and drive craft and visual excellence across platforms. Join a fast-moving team building open finance experiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product design with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and impact.
• Led products from zero to launch as the lead or sole designer, owning the full design process end to end.
• World class product thinking: comfort with ambiguity, decision-making with incomplete information.
• Experience designing AI-powered, non-deterministic experiences is highly desirable.
• Strong UX and visual design skills delivering clear and elegant solutions.
• Advanced prototyping skills to communicate complex interactions quickly.
• Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decisions.
• Strong systems thinking to create coherent, scalable experiences from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Own design end to end: discovery, concept, prototyping, delivery and launch.
• Take products from zero to one, turning early ideas into usable solutions.
• Build AI products for external customers and internal Payward AI initiatives.
• Thrive in ambiguity; define problems, set direction, and make calls without a brief.
• Design for non-deterministic experiences where outputs vary and systems don’t repeat.
• Create visually rich work that sets new benchmarks for AI products’ look and feel.
• Partner with product, engineering and leadership to influence roadmap decisions.
• Prototype fast to make ideas tangible, test, learn, and iterate.
