Job summary

Blacksmith Agency, an AI-first digital agency, is seeking an SEO Strategist for HVAC accounts. You will own the technical roadmap, keyword strategy, and content priorities across multi-location HVAC and home service groups, guiding writers and AI-produced drafts.

You’ll act as the strategic voice, work with clients on live calls, and drive results in technical SEO, on-page optimization, local search, and reporting in GA4 and Search Console.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO, audits and fixes performed independently.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for HVAC or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema, site architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities with writers and AI.
• Improve visibility in AI search, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity alongside traditional results.
• Handle links, local search and multi-location SEO as needed by clients.
• Provide reporting in GA4 and Search Console and maintain quarterly roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Strategist, HVAC you own search for a book of HVAC clients (multi-location HVAC and home service groups): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.
