Job summary

Jobgether is assisting a partner company in Chile to find a Head of Vendor Management. The role focuses on building a centralized vendor strategy for an international pharmaceutical and life sciences environment, covering sourcing, governance, and cost optimization.

You will lead a cross-functional team across QA, Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure compliant and high-quality outsourced services while driving performance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Outsourcing, or Partnership Management within life sciences, pharma, CROs, or regulated industries.
• Proven track record of developing and optimizing vendor networks.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and outsourced service delivery models.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and large-scale vendor contracts.
• Experience designing vendor governance frameworks, performance management, SLAs, and risk management processes.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a centralized vendor management and procurement strategy across business units.
• Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships to ensure quality, service, and reliable delivery.
• Lead negotiations and governance discussions with external providers and senior stakeholders.
• Oversee the full vendor lifecycle: sourcing, qualification, onboarding, performance, governance, and offboarding.
• Monitor supplier capacity, assess market options, and optimize the vendor network for current and future needs.
• Drive continuous improvement, establish scalable processes, and implement vendor management systems.
