Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior UX Designer to translate visual and experiential direction into concrete UI specs and functioning prototypes tailored for Unreal Engine production.

You will establish flow structures, interaction logic, navigation rules, and a cohesive component system that works across platforms and input styles. Collaboration with engineers and artists is essential for delivering production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of practical UI/UX experience with launched digital products or game interfaces.
• Proficiency in Figma including components, variants, auto-layout, and developer handoff documentation.
• Ability to create annotated screen layouts, interaction descriptions, and state diagrams with clear acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience designing UI for Unreal Engine and UMG elements (layout, anchors, scaling, widget states/animations).
• Understanding focus-oriented navigation across multiple input types (controller, keyboard/mouse).

Responsibilities

• Sketch UI flows, user journeys, and interaction frameworks for in-game features and screens, translating to specification documents.
• Build and expand a flexible UI component system with patterns, components, variants, and states for consistent design implementation.
• Create comprehensive behavior documentation covering focus, navigation, input reactions, errors, loading states, and edge cases.
• Coordinate with client-side engineers and UI artists to ensure designs are achievable, performant, and in-engine ready.
• Lead refinement by reviewing finished builds and updating designs per technical findings and QA feedback.
