Hitachi Energy Chile S.A. is seeking a seasoned engineer to design distribution automation solutions for digital grids in the LATAM region. You will work with sales, engineering, and customers to translate requirements into technical proposals and lead proof-of-concept activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, technical leadership, and collaboration with global teams, with travel up to 20% within the region. English fluency is required.

Formación

• Engineering degree required.
• 5–10 years of experience in distribution networks or automation.
• Experience with protection relays, RTUs, wireless, or SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 104.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design high-quality distribution automation solutions for digital grids.
• Support early-stage opportunities with technical expertise and consultancy.
• Present solution concepts and lead proof-of-concept activities.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solution proposals.
• Collaborate with sales, partners, and product teams globally.
• Support bid decisions and participate in risk review processes.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Promote continuous improvement and share best practices.
