Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Project Controls Scheduler to join our Antofagasta team. You will collaborate with the project team to develop and update schedules, run what-if scenarios, and create forecasts to keep the project on track.

You will apply unit job hour data, ensure correct logic, and assess subcontractor schedules for improvements. Strong EPC scheduling expertise and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning & scheduling for EPC projects in mining or related industries.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
• Ability to develop complete EPC schedules from scratch.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera, Primavera Risk Analysis, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth scheduling analysis of contractor and master schedules and present mitigations.
• Update and maintain the project master schedule with correct relationships.
• Establish milestones, review work activities, and ensure schedule integrity.
• Issue alerts on potential changes affecting cost and deadlines.
• Develop resource loading, leveling, and curves; coordinate with disciplines.
• Collect schedule data from all teams; resolve constraints affecting timelines.
• Develop and issue progress reports; support recovery plan development.
