Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Lead Data Integration Engineer to lead analytics engineering, data modeling and governance for trusted account datasets. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver governed, self-service data products in Snowflake and dbt.

You will design dimensional models, build dbt transformations, and implement tests and RBAC controls while guiding agile delivery and collaboration with analytics partners to enable AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years analytics engineering or data engineering experience.
• Data modeling for BI analytics and dimensional schemas.
• Strong leadership to define modeling standards and guide reviews.
• Agile sprint cadence and backlog planning experience.
• Advanced SQL with CTEs, window functions, joins, and tuning.
• dbt proficiency with modular projects, Jinja, tests, incremental models, snapshots.
• Snowflake skills: sizing, profiling, clustering, Time Travel, access control.
• Hands-on Git with branching, reviews, CI tests.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration with analytics and operations partners.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics engineering delivery for integrated account-level datasets.
• Design dimensional models and semantic definitions for health, engagement, and metrics.
• Build dbt models in Snowflake transforming inputs into dimensions/facts.
• Establish naming conventions and shared metric logic.
• Create datasets optimized for AI agent workflows and search use cases.
• Develop feature tables and context stores for meetings and research.
• Implement dbt tests, schema validations, and freshness monitoring.
• Define governance controls including RBAC and auditability.
• Coordinate documentation and ownership with partners.
• Deliver self-service models and clear docs for independent querying.
• Contribute to sprint planning, design reviews, and standards.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate modeling and testing work.
