Bechtel Corporation in Santiago, Chile seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to conduct field investigations, lead design and constructability reviews for civil/structural aspects of projects. You will ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 8–14 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of international design codes, and proficiency in structural analysis software.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years.
• Experience managing Chilean and American design codes (NCh 2369, AISC, ACI, ASCE).
• Proficient in structural analysis software at user level (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, finite element analysis software).
• Lead a small design team of engineers and designers.
• Design a wide range of industrial structures and foundations, including piling and retaining walls.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed civil/structural engineering phases for a global unit, project or staff group; prepare original designs, drawings and specifications for structures, buildings, roads and railroads.
• Design, develop, modify and evaluate civil/structural components and processes following Bechtel procedures and design controls.
• Apply structural analysis knowledge (static, dynamic) and material engineering in designs.
• Determine appropriate use of structural elements (steel, wood, masonry, concrete) based on loads.
