Job summary

Insight Global, partnering with a leading global fintech, seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and build scalable payments platform components. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle from architecture to deployment, delivering systems for payments, onboarding, settlement, and financial transactions.

The role requires collaboration with product, compliance, and operations, mentoring engineers, and driving modernization within a cloud-based, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience with C#/.NET or similar OOP language.
• Experience building production-scale backend systems.
• Payments/fintech or money movement experience.
• Microservices and event-driven design experience.
• Cloud experience with AWS preferred.
• Proficient with CI/CD and modern deployment practices.
• Strong collaboration with product/compliance/ops teams.
• Experience using AI development tools in daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for payments and platform functionality.
• Enhance onboarding, payments, settlement, FX, and financial operations.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations to deliver capabilities end-to-end.
• Develop integrations with external partners and third-party platforms.
• Drive reliability, monitoring, incident response, and production readiness.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Provide mentorship to mid-level engineers.
• Lead modernization initiatives around cloud infrastructure and platform transformation.
• Leverage AI tools to improve development productivity and code quality.
