Job summary

Insight Global's client, a leading global financial technology organization, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build and enhance the payments platform across onboarding, settlement, FX, and transactions.

You will work across product, compliance, and operations, mentor engineers, and drive modernization of cloud-based services while leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET or Java/Go in production systems.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud experience, AWS preferred.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-volume transactions.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for payments.
• Build systems for onboarding, payments, settlement, FX, and financial ops.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations to deliver features.
• Develop integrations with external partners.
• Improve service reliability, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Mentor mid-level engineers.
• Drive modernization of cloud infrastructure and SOA.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity.
