Job summary

South is partnering with a U.S. box truck brokerage to fill a hybrid Freight Operations & Sales Specialist role. You will lead proactive outbound sales, develop new freight lanes, and manage shipments from pickup to delivery while maintaining carrier relationships and accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in U.S. freight brokerage or 3PL, are fluent in English, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid remote setup with EST overlap is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in U.S. freight brokerage, 3PL, or trucking operations.
• Proven outbound sales, cold calling, and lane development experience.
• Hands-on experience coordinating shipments and handling daily operations.
• Advanced English with strong client interaction skills.
• Track record of achieving operational targets and volumes.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Lane Development: outbound calls and lead generation for new shipper relationships.
• Inbound & Client Engagement: respond to inquiries and manage ongoing communications.
• Volume & Capacity Growth: drive weekly volume targets across multiple carriers.
• Backhaul Optimization: secure return loads and maintain high utilization.
• Operations & Execution: coordinate daily freight progress with drivers and clients.
• Documentation & Systems: prepare rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, and CRM/TMS records.
