NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a dedicated Complaints Officer to support the Patient Affairs and Complaints Lead in coordinating the NHS Complaints Handling Procedure, triaging and investigating complaints, and guiding responses to the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman. You will analyse data, identify themes and risks, and report performance to governance bodies.

The post holder will support the Patient Affairs and Complaints Lead in coordinating NHS Lanarkshire’s complaints processes and using feedback to improve patient care. They will provide specialist advice and training on the Complaints Handling Procedure, supporting compliance with organisational policy and requirements. Responsibilities include triaging and investigating complaints, coordinating responses through to Scottish Public Services Ombudsman level, and determining proportionate action. The post holder will also analyse complaints data to identify themes, risks and learning opportunities, and report organisational performance against Scottish Government indicators to governance committees and management teams. The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
