Olympus Corporation of the Americas is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and maintain Olympus medical products in Chile. Under supervision, you will provide expert level technical support for assigned equipment and ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive service and timely issue resolution.

The role requires hands-on electronics expertise, strong communication, and the ability to travel overnight (>40%).

Formación

• Associate degree in electronics, computer science or related technical discipline is required or 4+ years in medical devices/military tech.
• 1–3 years as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent is required.
• Experience troubleshooting electromechanical/microprocessor-based products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and maintain high customer satisfaction with assigned products.
• Respond to customer inquiries and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Train customers on basic operation of assigned products.
• Provide feedback on product questions and field issues for service improvements.
• Perform installations, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting and other technical support.
• Escalate unresolved issues to service management in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with territory Sales Representatives and support at events.
• Travel to customer facilities for onsite support as needed.
