Bluelightconsulting is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance services using Elixir and the Phoenix framework. You will collaborate across product, design, and engineering to deliver scalable APIs for impactful projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of backend experience, strong Elixir/Phoenix skills, and a passion for building reliable, performant systems. This remote role offers flexible hours and opportunities for professional development.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with backend focus.
• Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs (and/or GraphQL) and working with PostgreSQL (Ecto).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from conception to launch, including crafting specs, writing clean code, and release planning.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Stay up-to-date with Elixir ecosystem to drive innovation.
