FORFIRM in Lugano, Switzerland is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to join a lively international team delivering projects for Europe’s leading brands. You will manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, Delivery Controller, and NetScaler, while ensuring secure access and up-to-date infrastructure.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of Citrix expertise, Windows Server, AD/GP, Azure/Intune integration, and strong PowerShell scripting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR or later).
• Deep expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, Delivery Controller, and MCS.
• Strong skills in NetScaler, Windows Server, AD/GP, and Azure/Intune integration.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Citrix infrastructure components and VDI environments.
• Resolve incidents and troubleshoot published applications and VDI workloads.
• Monitor performance, capacity plan, and optimize the environment.
• Manage access policies, MFA, and security configurations.
• Update Citrix components and VMs, document changes, and handover to operations.
• Collaborate with AD, Networking, Security, and Azure teams for cross-functional tasks.

Job description

At FORFIRM, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Windows System Administrator to join our lively international team and work on projects for Europe's leading brands!

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Citrix infrastructure components (Virtual Apps & Desktops, Delivery Controller, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway).
• Handle incident resolution and troubleshooting for VDI environments and published applications.
• Continuously monitor performance, perform capacity planning, and optimize the environment.
• Manage access policies, authentication, and security configurations (Citrix Policies, MFA, NetScaler).
• Regularly update Citrix components and associated VMs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams (AD, Networking, Security, Azure) for cross-functional tasks.
• Create technical documentation, implement best practices, and ensure structured handovers to operational teams.

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR or later).
• In-depth expertise in:
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Citrix StoreFront, Delivery Controller, Machine Creation Services
  • NetScaler / ADC
  • Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Azure / Intune integration
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools and PowerShell scripting.
