Job summary

FORFIRM is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to join our international team in Lugano, Switzerland. You will manage Citrix infrastructure, handle incidents in VDI environments, and work with AD, Security, and Azure to ensure robust, secure operations.

The role requires strong scripting skills, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication with technical and business stakeholders. On-site work in Ticino is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR or later).
• Expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and related components.
• Proficiency with Windows Server and Active Directory/Group Policy.
• Experience with Azure/Intune integration and security configurations.
• PowerShell scripting and monitoring tooling know-how.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Citrix infrastructure components (VAD, Delivery Controller, StoreFront, Gateway).
• Handle incident resolution and troubleshooting for VDI environments and published apps.
• Monitor performance, plan capacity, optimize the environment.
• Manage access policies, authentication and security configurations (Citrix Policies, MFA, NetScaler).
• Regularly update Citrix components and associated VMs; create docs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Citrix infrastructure components (Virtual Apps & Desktops, Delivery Controller, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway).
• Handle incident resolution and troubleshooting for VDI environments and published applications.
• Continuously monitor performance, perform capacity planning, and optimize the environment.
• Manage access policies, authentication, and security configurations (Citrix Policies, MFA, NetScaler).
• Regularly update Citrix components and associated VMs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams (AD, Networking, Security, Azure) for cross-functional tasks.
• Create technical documentation, implement best practices, and ensure structured handovers to operational teams.

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years- experience with complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR or later).
• In-depth expertise in:
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Citrix StoreFront, Delivery Controller, Machine Creation Services
• NetScaler / ADC
• Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
