Job summary

FORFIRM is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to join our lively international team and work on Citrix-based VDI projects for Europe’s leading brands.

The role requires 5+ years in complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR+), with hands-on skills in Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, NetScaler, AD, and Azure/Intune.

You will troubleshoot incidents, optimize performance, implement security measures, and document processes for smooth handovers to operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR or later).
• Expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with Citrix StoreFront and Delivery Controller.
• Experience with NetScaler / ADC.
• Windows Server 2016–2022.
• Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Azure / Intune integration.
• Monitoring tools and PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer Citrix infrastructure components (VAD, Delivery Controller, StoreFront, Gateway).
• Troubleshoot VDI environments and published apps.
• Monitor performance and perform capacity planning.
• Manage access policies, authentication, and security (Citrix Policies, MFA, NetScaler).
• Update Citrix components and guest VMs regularly.
• Collaborate with AD, Networking, Security, and Azure teams.
• Create documentation and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Citrix infrastructure components (Virtual Apps & Desktops, Delivery Controller, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway).
• Handle incident resolution and troubleshooting for VDI environments and published applications.
• Continuously monitor performance, perform capacity planning, and optimize the environment.
• Manage access policies, authentication, and security configurations (Citrix Policies, MFA, NetScaler).
• Regularly update Citrix components and associated VMs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams (AD, Networking, Security, Azure) for cross-functional tasks.
• Create technical documentation, implement best practices, and ensure structured handovers to operational teams.

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with complex Citrix environments (1912 LTSR or later).
• In-depth expertise in:
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Citrix StoreFront, Delivery Controller, Machine Creation Services
• NetScaler / ADC
• Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Azure / Intune integration
• Proficiency with monitoring tools and PowerShell scripting.
