Alstom Switzerland AG is seeking a Junior Traction Project Manager in Zürich, CH to deliver international traction projects under the guidance of the Site Project Director. You will monitor progress, manage components, and collaborate with teams across Switzerland, Morocco, India, France and Germany.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your traction project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Martin BOHAC - Site Project Director RSC in Zürich - CH, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated international teammates.

You’ll specifically take care of delivering international traction projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering Manager, Quality, Procurement, Operations, Contracts and Requirements Managers, Finance, Customers and Suppliers).

You’ll be the person the team turns to for momentum and to push projects forward. No two days are the same, but day-to-day you’ll manage costing schedules, enable those around you to excel, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of:

• Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the progress and status of key components, including transformers, converters, pantographs, batteries, battery chargers, and high-voltage auxiliary equipment.
• Collaborate with teams across multiple countries (Switzerland, Morocco, India, France, and Germany) to ensure timely updates to the project dashboard, providing clear visibility of project milestones, risks, and critical points.
• Follow up with team members and component owners to ensure that they are filling the dashboard with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Assist in the management of a checklist to assess the maturity of the project design, tracking tasks and deliverables for continuous improvement.
• Support communication and knowledge sharing among project stakeholders to promote collaboration and efficiency.
• Contribute to project reporting and documentation to facilitate decision-making and project transparency.
• Implement and automate new standard project reporting as Project Management Office
• Synchronise and standardize project reporting with other sites in France

We’ll look to you for:

• Actively contribute to Project performance
• Alert in case of deviations impacting project objectives; actively contribute to risks, savings and opportunity management
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards, process & tools: Code of Ethics & Compliance, Environment Health & Safety and Quality
• Plan, monitor, control and manage project end-to-end activities (scope, schedule, resources, cost, risks, saving, opportunities)
• Coordinate and support consistent cross-functional execution objectives, activities and deliverables (Engineering, R&D programs, Procurement, Supply Chain, Indus when applicable, Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety (RAMS), etc.)
• Accompagny teams in successful achievement of project objectives, synchronize stakeholders at traction level and ensure stakeholder alignments
• Support sub-system level decisions and trade-offs, implement change management at sub-system level
• Manage sub-system components and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and report with transparency
