Alstom – Traction System Team Leader (f/m/d) – Zürich
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical leadership and traction system expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate and highly skilled teammates and play a pivotal role in shaping next‑generation traction systems for railway vehicles, driving performance, innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and onboard team members; lead eight traction system engineers in areas such as requirements management, system performance, energy efficiency, and system compatibility.
- Plan and assign resources for execution and development projects.
- Lead the People Management Cycle (PMC), including development planning, objective setting, and performance assessments.
- Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical and process expertise to support project execution.
- Develop team members’ technical and leadership skills.
- Ensure the application and improvement of standard processes, methodologies, and tools.
Qualifications
- Leadership training (CAS or equivalent) is a plus.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the traction systems domain.
- Preferred experience in team and project management (at least 3 years).
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
- Structured, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Experience managing priorities and conflicts.
- Customer and product‑oriented thinking.
- Fluent in German and English (reading, writing, and technical discussions).
