Avacone in Basel, Switzerland, seeks an experienced VDI / Server Engineer to design, implement and support enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure and related server platforms. You will ensure secure, reliable and scalable virtual workspaces for users across the organisation.

Qualificações

• Requires proven experience in designing and supporting enterprise VDI and server environments.
• Strong knowledge of desktop virtualization, profile management and application delivery.
• Deep experience with Citrix, Windows OS, AD and GP policies.
• Experience with endpoint management, security controls and IAM integrations.
• Ability to document technical solutions and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and maintain VDI and virtual application platforms.
• Manage VDI images, app delivery, user profiles and policy configurations.
• Ensure VDI capacity, performance and availability for a consistent user experience.
• Integrate VDI with identity, endpoint management, storage, networking and security.
• Implement secure baselines and access controls.
• Automate image creation, provisioning and maintenance.
• Monitor VDI and MS server platforms and resolve performance issues.
• Assist patching, upgrades, migrations and lifecycle management.
• Participate in incident, problem, change and major incident management.
• Maintain technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with client engineering, network, security, storage and applications teams.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and service improvements.
