Avacone is seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineer in Basel to design, implement and maintain enterprise compute, storage and virtualization platforms. The role focuses on security, resilience and scalability to support critical business operations.

You will manage virtualization platforms, monitor performance, coordinate with teams, and contribute to disaster recovery planning. A strong background in automation and hybrid cloud adoption is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in enterprise Data Centre engineering.
• Strong knowledge of compute, storage, virtualization, OS and backup technologies.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and management ecosystems.
• Familiarity with security baselines, privileged access and hardening.
• Experience documenting technical solutions for diverse stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise compute, storage and virtualization platforms.
• Assist with racking, stacking and connecting servers, network gear and storage devices.
• Monitor performance, capacity and security; manage incidents and lifecycle changes.
