Alstom in Zurich seeks a Traction Project Engineering Manager to lead traction project developments and delivery across locomotives, regional trains and high-speed projects. You will coordinate multi-site teams in Engineering, Quality, Procurement and customers to keep momentum and meet targets.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in traction and product development.
• Strong knowledge of the traction business.
• Ability to coordinate and ensure collaboration across multi-site and cross functional teams.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead development and order execution projects for the traction chain and its components for locomotives, commuters, and high-speed trains.
• Functionally lead a project team of up to 10 cross‑functional core team members.
• Be responsible for project planning and budget.
• Manage projects across different lifecycles, from R&D to order execution and warranty.
• Drive decisions and results.
• Represent Engineering within the project core team and manage interfaces with stakeholders and participating units.
• Coordinate engineering work packages and deliverables.
• Plan prototype purchasing, building, and testing in Zürich.
• Support the manufacturing site in starting serial production.
• Make technical decisions and trade-offs within the project team.
• Manage changes and product configurations.
