Open Systems in Zürich, Switzerland is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to design, install, and operate globally deployed network security solutions. You will advise customers from concept to production and serve as the technical voice between development and sales.

You will learn the Open Systems service portfolio, engage with customer staff, and deploy services in coordination with the client, including onboarding and high-quality support. Occasional work at our Hawaii center is possible.

Are you technically skilled in network security and driven to foster trusted technical partnerships with customers? This role is for you!

Your Mission

As a Customer Success Engineer you will work together with national and international organizations to design, install and operate globally deployed network security solutions. You will analyze the needs of customers and advise, design and deploy solutions from the concept phase all the way to production deployment and operations, in close cooperation with the organization. In addition, you will be the interface between development and sales acting as the technical voice of your customers.

Your responsibilities

• Learn Open Systems service portfolio and configuration management
• Engage with customers' technical staff to identify requirements
• Recommend best-practice approaches and design solutions
• Set up and deploy Open Systems services in coordination with the customer
• On-board new customers
• Provide first-class technical support for customer requests
• Interface between development and sales
• Engage in the Mission Control organization to ensure steady operations of our entire customer base

Qualifications

You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field or extensive experience in the field of networking and cybersecurity. You have experience directly in Technical Customer Success Engineering, professional services, solution architecture, or technical consulting. Your bring a technical mindset combined with a customer-first consulting approach, and enjoy the combination of technology and communication skills. You are highly motivated to learn new skills and expand your existing theoretical and practical knowledge in training programs offered by internal domain experts and team colleagues, and you bring some of the following skills to the table:

• Knowledge of Unix and Linux operating systems
• Understanding of networking in general and the major internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, SSH, DNS, BGP, OSPF)
• Knowledge of network security concepts and practices. Core technologies: firewalls, secure web gateways, cloud access security brokers (CASB), VPN networks, IDS and IPS, email security, zero trust network access (ZTNA), and traditional remote access
• Experience in the design and implementation of global WAN and hub network topologies (SD-WAN)
• Self-motivated, proactive team player
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English with a good working knowledge of German.
