Job summary

avec compétence GmbH seeks a senior software architecture leader to guide a team of seven software architects shaping the cross-product architecture for laboratory instruments. You will balance people leadership with deep technical decisions across product lines, projects, and early phases.

Responsibilities include aligning architecture across teams, driving modularization, and setting guardrails for maintainability, performance and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience as a software or systems architect for complex products.
• Leadership experience with a team of similar size, ideally including disciplinary leadership.
• Experience with modular, reusable architectures and platforms and device integration into PC and data systems.
• Experience in regulated environments including data integrity/GxP and cybersecurity (CRA, IEC 62443) is desirable.
• Very good English skills; German skills are a major advantage.
